September 18, 2010 @ 7:30 AM — All Church Prayer Retreat
“Prayer as a Way of Life” ON SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 18TH

Everyone is invited to participate in an all-church prayer retreat on Saturday morning, September 18, 2010, from 7:30 am until 12:30 pm. The retreat will be held at the Paradise Valley United Methodist Church facilities at 44th St. and Lincoln. The theme is “Prayer as a Way of Life,” and the cost is $25 per person, which includes breakfast and snacks for breaks.

Rev. Brad Wishon, who was one of the core walkers on Crosswalk America, will be our spiritual guide for the retreat. We plan to begin with a labyrinth walk, then breakfast followed by a combination of community gatherings and plenty of private meditation/prayer/journaling time.

Please consider joining us for this spiritually nourishing time in the desert.
• Youth 12 and older are especially encouraged to try out this experience.
• Watch for signup sheets in Bond Hall, or contact Barbara Nordlund, registrar for the event.
• A sliding cost scale is available. No one should miss this opportunity due to finances.
• Child care will be available at the SCUCC church building and is included in the fee for the retreat.
