Mingus Mountain Camp
Every year over Labor Day Weekend, a rag tag intergenerational group
of SCUCC’ers (70 – 90 people) trek up the mountain to
enjoy a cool weekend in the outdoors at Mingus Mountain Camp. This
is a 20+ year tradition, and many people who now bring their children
remember participating as a child themselves.
It's a low structure weekend with opportunities for fishing, hiking,
reading, sleeping, sports, board games, or just plain hanging out.
We always have a nice campfire with S’mores and fun singing,
and on Sunday night there is a famous talent show that provides
many good laughs and memories.
It’s a great time for family and friends, singles, couples,
young and old.
Another way that involves intergenerational participation at SCUCC
is our B.E.A.C.H. program.
