Welcome to the Ocotillo Center for Creativity informational page.

The Ocotillo Center for Creativity is a unique ministry of Scottsdale Congregational United Church of Christ. Ocotillo Center for Creativity provides a space for adults and kids to explore, express, and experience their own creativity.

As part of Scottsdale Congregational UCC’s Vision 2010, the church renovated the Christian Education building and regained the space for the Ocotillo Center for Creativity’s programs.

Mission Statement To explore, express, and experience creativity in all its forms through stimulating learning opportunities within a transforming community.

The Ocotillo Center for Creativity has been offering both Adult and Kids programs since 2007. Adult classes have included classes such as yoga and Tai Chi. Programming for children and teens has included summer camps such as trapeze camp, arts camp, performing arts camp and a rock and roll camp.

In addition to classes and camps, the Ocotillo Center for Creativity has sponsored several special events:

• Workshop with the authors of the book, “Saving Paradise”
• Live performance of the musical – The Last Five Years
• A Red Rocks Music Festival Concert - Classical Meets Jazz

This statement written by John Keates reflects the vision of the Ocotillo Center for Creativity. It is our goal to provide a stimulating and supportive space for individuals to explore, express and experience creativity and imagination.
